Why I Coach

My first season coaching high school baseball changed the way I looked at hitting.

I expected to teach effort.

I expected to teach competition.

I expected to help players improve.

What I didn't expect was how differently players had been taught.

Some had a strong foundation.

Some had almost no foundation at all.

Others had spent years trying to build on ideas that simply weren't helping them.

I realized the biggest gap wasn't effort.

It was understanding.

That's when Launch Baseball began.

I wanted to build a system that organized the movement principles shared by successful hitters into something players could understand, coaches could teach, and parents could follow.

Because every player deserves to understand what they're doing and why they're doing it.

What I Believe

I don't believe every player should look the same. I do believe successful hitters share common movement principles.

My job is not to make every player copy someone else's swing. My job is to help each player understand those principles and apply them to their own game.

My Goal

I don't want players to depend on me. I want them to leave every lesson understanding their swing better than when they arrived.

Understanding creates independence.
